Acceptable Use Policy
Adult use, permitted recordings, prohibited content, reports, and appeals
Scope and age
This policy applies to scripts, voice descriptions, recordings, generated audio, and use of SpeakGrove at speakgrove.com, operated by wang yuhao, an individual based in China. SpeakGrove is powered by HeyGen voice services and is not affiliated with or endorsed by HeyGen. Accounts, plans, and support here are separate from HeyGen. See our independent service explanation and the official HeyGen voice documentation.
You must be 18 or older to use the service. An adult declaration is a statement from the user; it is not an identity or age verification service. Do not use someone else's account or give a minor access through your account.
Prohibited content and uses
- Sexual or NSFW content: pornography, sexually explicit speech, sexualized nudity, sexual exploitation, or content created for sexual gratification.
- Violence and gore: graphic injury, torture, gore, violent threats, or encouragement or glorification of violence.
- Hate: hateful abuse, dehumanization, or calls for discrimination or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics.
- Children and minors: content involving anyone under 18, including recordings or imitations of a minor's voice. Child sexual abuse material, sexualization, grooming, exploitation, and content that endangers children are prohibited.
- Copyright and trademarks: scripts, recordings, or other material you lack the rights or permission needed to use; infringement of copyright or trademarks; or misleading claims of endorsement by a rights holder.
- Deepfakes, impersonation, and fraud: unauthorized imitation of a real person, fabricated statements attributed to them, deceptive synthetic media, scams, phishing, or other uses intended to mislead people about identity, consent, or what someone said.
Do not use the service for illegal content or activity. Do not evade a rejected request, account restriction, or content decision by changing accounts or disguising the same material. Where disclosure is required by law, disclose that audio is synthetic.
Permission to use a recording
Use a recording of your own adult voice, or obtain explicit, documented authorization from the adult speaker and any other relevant rights holder. The authorization must cover uploading the recording, creating a voice clone, generating speech, and the intended use of that speech. Having access to a recording, or finding it online, is not permission to clone its speaker.
You are responsible for keeping evidence of that authorization. We may ask for a reasonable explanation or supporting consent record when reviewing a complaint. Do not clone minors, public figures, customers, colleagues, or anyone else without the adult speaker's permission and the rights needed for the use. A declaration alone does not establish those rights.
Current availability and review
Stock previews and browser drafts are available. New audio generation, clone creation, and new Voice Design matching are closed. A visible draft field or a locally selected recording is not permission to submit prohibited material or a confirmation that it has passed review.
Human review controls are in place for scripts, Voice Design descriptions, recordings and their authorization evidence, candidate previews, and generated audio. Reviewers read the text, listen to audio, check the prohibited categories above, and record a decision. Input approval is required before a new provider operation; candidate previews and generated audio require approval before delivery to the user. Missing, pending, unavailable, or rejected review prevents the corresponding operation or delivery.
Review is manual and does not automatically verify identity, age, or recording rights. These controls do not mean that every existing stock preview has been individually reviewed, and they do not provide a fully automated input and output moderation system.
Reports and initial action
Email support@speakgrove.com with the subject Content report. Include the relevant page or request reference when available, a description of the concern, and how we can contact you. A rights holder or authorized representative can report unauthorized voice use, copyright or trademark concerns, or other prohibited content. The contact page prepares a note locally; it does not send a report automatically.
For serious reports, such as child safety, credible threats, or identity fraud, we aim to take initial action within 24 hours. For ordinary reports, we aim to acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and handle the report within 7 business days. Initial action may include restricting access while the matter is reviewed; it is not a promise of final resolution within 24 hours. These are response targets, not a claim of a continuously staffed support team. Where the law requires a shorter deadline, that deadline applies. If review needs more time, we will explain the reason and give an updated expected date.
Enforcement and appeals
Depending on the issue, we may warn a user, reject or restrict a request, suspend or terminate an account, or remove or restrict access to violating content. We may act immediately for serious harm or where the law requires it. We review the available information and, where permitted, explain the decision. This policy does not promise automatic forfeiture or clearing of unused allowance.
To appeal, email the same mailbox with the subject Content appeal, the decision or request reference, and your explanation or consent evidence. We will review the appeal and explain the outcome; ordinary report response targets apply unless a shorter legal deadline applies. Suspension or termination does not remove statutory rights or any refund right described in our Terms.
